The 2026 Cape 1000 Rally continues to thrill classic car and motorsport enthusiasts, showcasing 69 incredible cars in this year’s annual rally. On Day 3 and Day 4, residents in Stanford, Hermanus and Kleinmond will have prime opportunities to see the rally cars up close.
Day 3 – 18 March 2026: Stanford & Hermanus
Stanford – Following a lunch stop in Barrydale, competitors will pass through Stanford on their way towards Hermanus, giving fans an excellent chance to see the cars in action.
Hermanus: 15:30 to 16:30 – The first cars are estimated to arrive at Gearing’s Point around 15:30. Each car will have approximately 15 minutes to stretch its legs before departing for Arabella. The last car is expected to pass through around 16:30.
Day 4 – 19 March 2026: Kleinmond Clarence Drive
Kleinmond: 08:30 – The final leg of the rally begins at Arabella and travels through Kleinmond and Betty’s Bay along the scenic Clarence Drive. Competitors will make a brief stop in the Franschhoek area before heading back toward Cape Town, concluding an epic journey across some of South Africa’s most iconic roads.
